The Chai Yi district produces prestigious oolongs such as the famous altitude tea, Ali Shan. Chai Yi is known not only for its high quality teas but also for the region where they are produced: 2300-2400 meters in altitude. The conditions for producing good teas are all there! The « creamy », flowery (jasmine, geranium, rose) and lightly lemony notes are the particularity of this tea. Among the teas produced in Chai Yi, you can find the famous Gao Shan Cha: lightly fermented and comparable in certain aspects to the Tie Guan Yin. It distinguishes itself with its white flower, honey and vanilla flavours. Other teas produced in this region are the oolong 4 seasons and the Jin Xuan, better known as Milky Oolong.
