It is one of the most productive provinces of China (140 000 tons per year, or 20% of Chinese production). It produces the most wide variety: red teas (Panyong, Jin Hou), smoked (Lapsang-Souchong), white (Bai Mu Tan). Most importantly, the region is the « homeland » of Oolong teas, the blue-green partially fermented teas. Finally, perfumed Jasmine teas are part of the tradition.
